Trivia: The film was built from a recurring Saturday Night Live sketch dating back to 1977, with Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin reprising their roles as Beldar and Prymaat.
Moments later, Beldar and Prymaat's cone-shaped heads break the surface as they wade ashore after their spacecraft crash-lands in the harbor, the twin towers visible on the skyline behind them.
