Twin Towers appearance
The Twin Towers sit on the Manhattan skyline throughout Zoolander's New York-set scenes, in the version now available to watch, at least. Ben Stiller had them digitally erased for the film's original release; they were not restored until the 2016 Blu-ray edition, the version current streaming and disc copies are based on.
Trivia: Zoolander opened September 28, 2001, just over two weeks after the attacks. Stiller made the call to scrub the towers from the background before anyone saw the film in a theater, and they stayed out of every home-video release for fifteen years.
